its been a while but-- mk7 bolts and mk7 alternator connector were used and there were only 2 wires to join, cant remember which colours were joined to which but theres only 2 options. anyway the alternator works perfectly and charges at idle. 06 mk6 2.4 di 115 remapped by martyn. 04 mk6 2.4 di 115 remapped by martyn.

Connect the thin blue wire to earth with the ignition switched on and check that the battery warning light on the dash comes on. This will check the wiring and bulb. If the light comes on then connect the wire to the middle terminal of the alternator. UF14s.
