its been a while but-- mk7 bolts and mk7 alternator connector were used and there were only 2 wires to join, cant remember which colours were joined to which but theres only 2 options. anyway the alternator works perfectly and charges at idle. 06 mk6 2.4 di 115 remapped by martyn. 04 mk6 2.4 di 115 remapped by martyn.
Amp Description; 1 350A Starter motor and alternator 2 60A Passenger junction box power supply - start relevant / Passenger junction box KL15 for Start-Stop No problems to date, the dc-dc charger cuts out when the aux battery falls below 12.8v (as does the other vsr connected to the main starter). I leave the Aux battery as a starter backup and run my fridge and camping stuff from the big deep cycle. I have a powertrain 20 amp dc-dc charger, It's a $100aud 3-stage ebay jobbie. Ive got a 59 reg fiesta 1.6 tdci econetic which seems to have a few electrical problems. Connect the thin blue wire to earth with the ignition switched on and check that the battery warning light on the dash comes on. This will check the wiring and bulb. If the light comes on then connect the wire to the middle terminal of the alternator. UF14s.
