I only bought three of 2014 mono's: "Revolver", " Sgt Pepper" and "White Album" just because the original UK copies of these albums in my collection are not better than VG shape. Still not planning to get rid of them, they still playable besides, they still have a certain "collector's value" as pieces of history, for me anyway.
By 1968, mono was being phased out, so the mono copies of the White Album were in much less quantity than the stereo ones, and fetch major amounts of money nowadays. In Germany, the switch to exclusively stereo happened already in 1964, after A Hard Day's Night. In France however, all Beatles pre-1966 albums were mono only.
