If it hasn’t been done I suspect the chances of you ever being able to claim on the warranty (if you still have one) in the future for it will be slim.
The oil and filter need to be changed at least every 10k miles or very 12 months. Changing the oil more frequently can do nothing but good and may delay or prevent entirely the common EGR failure on these engines. Good idea to change the oil feed and oil return pipes to the turbo entirely every four years or so because it's too difficult to
The manual lists the following fluids that need changed: Engine oil. DSG/trans fluid. Brake fluid. Haldex fluid. Then, on further online reading, I've seen people discuss the following two fluid changes that are entirely absent from the owners manual, but supposedly necessary for all 4motion vehicles: Front diff ("bevel box") MK5 GTI 2.0t FSI - 6 Speed Manual - Service Parts. MK5 GTI 2.0t FSI - 6 Speed DSG- Service Parts. What Oil weight do I need to use in my VW 2.0t FSI GTI? On most VW models, including the MK5 GTI, Oil weight (ie 5W40) is not as important as oil spec. Just buy the 4-5 dollar funnel with the hose at walmart, it has the perfect size tip that fits perfectly. I'm not the first to do this, so don't let anyone tell you that the filling from the bottom is

Similarly, the factory DSG / auxiliary engine cooler is a dual-pass 26mm one row core item, versus CSF’s is a quadruple pass, 42mm two row core cooler with B-Tube technology. This results in a 42% increase in flow area and a 36% increase in heat rejection. The CSF cooler can also be used on either side as a DSG or auxiliary engine water cooler.
Mar 30, 2014. #14. I changed the fluid in a Jetta that was 100,000 miles past due. The car had 140,000 miles on it and had NEVER had the DSG fluid changed. The filter was dirty, the fluid stunk and was nasty looking but the transmission didn't seem to care whether the fluid was changed or not. XhxG5dg.
